This summer I had the great opportunity, to fly on British Airways new Business Class, called “Club Suite” on board their brand new Aircraft, the Airbus A350-1000. My flight was from Madrid to London, the first part of the trip was getting there, so I flew with British´s A321NEO in Business Class to Madrid, a great chance to compare their “Club Europe” Business Class with the new one!
Our flight was BA 465 on 7th August, it was three days after the inaugural flight of British Airways new long range aircraft. I had the seat 9K with a great engine view, as the flight was on a summer evening, I was able to take some pictures during takeoff shortly before sunset. After we reached cruising altitude the crew started the service, if you want to see the food or want some more detailed information, check out our flight report video.
The main difference between BA’s old and new Business Class is, that there are no reversed seats at the window and you have a closable door like in Qatars Q-Suite or Deltas Business Class. The own small suite offers a lot of privacy while you enjoy a movie, have dinner, or have a nap on your lie flat seat. Every seat offers a power plug for your smartphone and has have a small display close to your seat to change the seatpitch as well.
The flight from Madrid back to London took about 2 hours, upon approach I took some panning shots of London, they turned out quite good I think. All in all the new Business Class product offers more privacy, a lot of space and overall a very good looking interior. The crew was really friendly and I was able to take a picture with the coolest steward I´ve ever seen! I also met a follower and we went to the cockpit for some pictures.
It was a great experience to be on board of British Airways A350-1000, I really recommend it!
